Chelsea supporters will be wondering what could have been as De Bruyne started off his Premier League career at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium international was unable to find his way into the starting XI under Jose Mourinho and only made three league appearances for The Blues before leaving to join Wolfsburg in 2014.
The following year, De Bruyne returned to England after joining City with Manuel Pellegrini at the helm, but his game went to another level when Guardiola was appointed as the club's manager in 2016.
The midfielder was instrumental in helping City win the 2017/18 league title with a record-breaking 100 points.
The title win kickstarted a period of dominance for City both on the domestic stage and in Europe.
De Bruyne has won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups and the UEFA Champions League.
He has also won the Premier League Player of the Season on two occasions and won the league's 'Playmaker' award for a record three times.
Along with his impressive trophy collection, De Bruyne's Premier League numbers - provided by our friends at Opta - are also phenomenal.
