Arne Slot gives injury update on Mohamed Salah after Liverpool star hurts hamstring in Crystal Palace win - 'Story of our season'

Arne Slot said Liverpool will have to "wait and see" whether Mohamed Salah will play again in the Premier League after he was forced off with a hamstring injury in their 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Salah was forced off in the 59th minute with an apparent hamstring injury, meaning it could be his last Liverpool appearance having already announced that he would be leaving the club this summer.
The Reds have just four matches remaining this season, having been eliminated from the Emirates FA Cup and UEFA Champions League earlier this month.
Slot told BBC Match of the Day: "Another win and another injury. It's the story of our season.
"It's too early to say but we all know Mo and how hard it is for him to leave the pitch. For Mo to leave the pitch, it shows you something, but we have to wait and see how bad it is."
Salah overstretched when reaching the ball on the edge of the box just before the hour mark, immediately clutching his left hamstring.
He took his time to applaud the Anfield crowd as he limped off the field, as Jeremy Frimpong came on to replace the Egyptian.
Liverpool were leading 2-0 at the time, courtesy of first-half strikes from Alexander Isak – his first since December – and Andrew Robertson.
Daniel Munoz controversially got one back after he lobbed stand-in goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, who had gone down with an injury of his own.
However, Florian Wirtz struck deep into added time to ensure all three points as Liverpool moved up to fourth in the table.
Since announcing he would leave the club after nine years at Anfield, Salah scored in the two Premier League matches immediately, including opening the scoring in last week’s Merseyside derby.
He now faces a race against time to be fit for Liverpool’s final match of the season on May 24, at home to Brentford, but the image of one of the club's best players in modern times morosely walking off could well be the last sight of him in a Liverpool shirt.

There was controversy at Anfield when Munoz halved the deficit after Liverpool goalkeeper Woodman appeared to have suffered an injury.
Woodman had gone down holding his knee after rushing out to make a save, before Munoz profited by lobbing the ball into an empty net.
Slot, however, did not blame the Spaniard and instead pointed to a judgement error from referee Andy Madley, citing a similar incident involving Alexis Mac Allister against Manchester United.
He said: "The number of times I've played against a team and then a player is on the floor and the referee blows the whistle. It happened against Man United when Mac Allister was on the floor.
"They played on and Macca needed five stitches afterwards. I don't blame them, by the way. The referee should stop the game.
"It's going to become a tactic to pretend you're injured, so the referee stops the play. He did it about four times today.
"Munoz, I think it's 50-50 because some players wouldn't have taken the shot. Some players would stop and some would score. I don't blame him as much as I blame the referee."
Fortunately for the Reds, Woodman was fit to carry on. Liverpool are already without both Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili due to injury.
Woodman said: "The grass was really dry and my knee got stuck in the ground. I didn't know what to do.
"It didn't punish us in the end and the three points are massive."
