Slot: Isak and Gravenberch doubts for Brentford

Liverpool manager Arne Slot admitted that while the groin injury Alexander Isak suffered against Eintracht Frankfurt was "not too bad", the Sweden international was a "question mark" for Saturday's Premier League game against Brentford, which is live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

He added that there was also a doubt around midfielder Ryan Gravenberch’s involvement due to an ankle issue, while Jeremie Frimpong will be out for at least the next few games with a hamstring injury.

Slot said: "Jeremie [Frimpong] is not in a good place, definitely will not play today or tomorrow. Alex [Isak] is not too bad, for the weekend let's see where he is, the same for Ryan [Gravenberch], he did not travel with us [to Germany].

"Alisson is not in the squad and will take a little longer."

Maresca confirms Delap’s return to training

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca confirmed that Liam Delap had returned to training and could be available to play Tottenham next weekend.

The 22-year-old was forced off in a 2-0 victory over Fulham in August and was not expected back until mid-November.

"We don't have any new injuries," Maresca said. "Liam took part in the session with the team yesterday for the first time.

"He is not going to be available for tomorrow's game [against Sunderland] but the next one [Wolves in the EFL Cup], yes."

On Delap being ahead of schedule, Maresca added: "The schedule can also change a little bit. It depends how they improve or get worse from the first time they send me, but he can be available for that [Wolves]."

Amorim: We have some 'doubts'

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim admitted that there are "doubts" regarding the fitness of Harry Maguire and Mason Mount ahead of their encounter with Brighton.

The United boss said: "The squad is fine, we have some doubts. We had some issues during the week with Harry Maguire and Mason Mount.

"Nothing serious but some knocks. We will see tomorrow."

Newcastle monitoring Tonali fitness

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe revealed that the club is monitoring the fitness of Sandro Tonali ahead of Saturday's clash with Fulham.

Howe said: "Everybody has come through [the Benfica game] okay. Obviously, after a game there are a couple of sore bodies but nothing serious.

"Sandro is still the player we are monitoring. He did train on Wednesday but didn't feel 100% so he is the one that will probably be touch and go for the game."

The Newcastle boss added that patience would be required as Yoane Wissa continues his return from a PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) injury picked up just days after joining the Magpies on transfer deadline day.

"If you look at Yoane's situation, he will need almost a pre-season and the pre-season schedule we give to players is six weeks," Howe said.

"We do that for a reason so we can build them up. I'm not saying he won't play for six weeks but to get to his very best level it will probably take that time.

"Firstly, before we get to that stage, we need to get him fully 100% fit and then we can really push him.

"He went to see a specialist yesterday. That was a routine appointment. He is on track, he is doing well and now we can push him a little bit harder."

Arteta: 'Gabriel a doubt'

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta revealed that defender Gabriel Magalhaes is a doubt for the Gunners' Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Arteta said: "Big Gabby had to leave the pitch against Atletico Madrid with an issue and we will have to wait over the next 24 hours to see if he is available."

On the availability of Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard, Arteta added: "None are available in the next week or so."

Guardiola confirms Rodri absence

Pep Guardiola claimed there was no new injury news for Manchester City, with all those that were unavailable last time out, including Rodri, remaining out for Sunday's clash with Aston Villa.

Guardiola said: "The guys who were not able [to play] against Villarreal are still not ready."

On the fitness of Nico Gonzalez, Guardiola added: "I didn't see the doctors, we'll see today and tomorrow how he feels.

"It was something with his feet."

The Catalan boss also provided an update on Abdukodir Khusanov.

"I think he's close but he's still not ready from having an injury in a dangerous, dangerous position in his body," Guardiola concluded.
