According to multiple reports, the 25-year-old's new contract is five years long and will keep him at Anfield until the summer of 2031. His previous contract had two years remaining on it.
Szoboszlai joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in 2023 and the upcoming campaign will be his fourth with his club.
After winning the Premier League two seasons ago under manager Arne Slot, the 2025/26 campaign ended with a whimper. It resulted in Slot losing his job.
And with Andoni Iraola now at the helm and a new contract with Liverpool, the Hungary international is keen to bring more trophies back to Merseyside.
"There's always more to come, I'm never happy," Szoboszlai told Liverpool's official website. "No, I'm happy with myself, but I think I can do even better.
"I think that's why I’m sitting here, because that pushed me since I was a kid: that it was never enough. And I'm thinking the same now. I want to set the example. I want to be an example also for everyone, as much as I can.
"When I signed, I said I want to win everything. That didn't change for a little moment either. It stayed the same.
"I want to win everything that is possible in this country, also let's say the Champions League. I'm ready to go for it."
Since moving to Liverpool, Szoboszlai has made 147 appearances in all competitions.
In his first season at the club, he earned a Carabao Cup winners medal, despite missing the final due to injury.
Although last season was underwhelming as a whole for Liverpool, Szoboszlai himself had his most productive campaign.
He ended with 13 goals and 12 assists in 53 matches, earning himself the men's team's player of the season award as voted by supporters.

With Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate all leaving this summer, it is a time of change at Anfield.
And although there was speculation of a potential exit for Szoboszlai, with contract talks reportedly stalling, tying him down will offer hope for the next evolution of the team.
"It's maybe my biggest day," Szoboszlai said about his new contract. "There are a couple in front of it - probably when I signed for Liverpool the first one and when I got my baby, of course.
"But in my football career, I can say this is in the top three. Very happy. I can't wait to go again and again and again. I'm just happy to be here, as I said many times."
Szoboszlai and his Liverpool team-mates returned for pre-season training this week, and begin their 2026/27 Premier League campaign away at Newcastle on August 23.
Before moving to Liverpool, Szoboszlai spent two-and-a-half seasons with Leipzig, winning the DFB-Pokal twice with the German side.
