Chelsea hope to sign Mike Maignan from AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens before the FIFA Club World Cup deadline, while Tottenham Hotspur will need to pay ÂŁ10 million for Brentford manager Thomas Frank. Elsewhere, Manchester City and Real Madrid have both missed the chance to land an English wonderkid, and a teenage striker plans to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chelsea aim to push through two signings
Chelsea are keen to sign two more players ahead of the upcoming Club World Cup later this month, according to The Mirror.
They hope to agree a fee with AC Milan for goalkeeper Mike Maignan, and they are also pursuing Borussia Dortmund's English attacker Jamie Gittens.
The paper writes: "Chelsea are hoping to complete two transfers ahead of the Club World Cup - one of which is landing a new goalkeeper in Mike Maignan with talks remaining ongoing with AC Milan.
"They've lodged a new £15 million offer which they hope will be enough to sign Maignan, who is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract at the San Siro. Chelsea’s initial £10m valuation of the 29-year-old was nowhere near the £25m Milan ideally want.
"‌The Blues are also keen and remain in discussions with Borussia Dortmund over Jamie Gittens. The England U21 international could be on the move but the Premier League side know they must do more to tempt the German club after having a £29.5m opening bid rejected - as first reported by the Evening Standard.
"Gittens, who was once on Chelsea's books as a youngster before leaving to pursue first-team opportunities. Dortmund may ask for as much as ÂŁ50m for the 20-year-old winger."
Tottenham will need to pay up for Frank
Brentford want a sizeable fee to let manager Thomas Frank replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.
The Telegraph believes that they want around ÂŁ10 million to let their manager go to the north London side.
The paper reports: "Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on sealing the appointment of Thomas Frank as the club’s new head coach.
"Brentford will insist that Frank’s exit fee, thought to be in the region of £10 million, is met by Spurs but Telegraph Sport understands that progress has been made over the past 24 hours.
"There is now positivity and optimism at Tottenham that a deal for Frank, who is understood to want to join Spurs and hopes to take a number of his Brentford backroom team with him, can be struck.
"Tottenham technical director Johan Lange is close to Frank, having shared an office with him at Danish club Lyngby, and is leading the club’s process to replace Postecoglou."
Man City suffer Monga blow
Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona and other top European sides have suffered a huge blow in the race for Leicester City wonderkid Jeremy Monga, The Sun writes.
The 15-year-old had been linked with a move away since breaking into The Foxes first team, but looks set to stay after signing a new deal.
The paper explains: "Leicester City have signed 15-year-old starlet Jeremy Monga on a bumper new contract in a major coup for the Championship club.
"The news will come as a blow to Manchester City and a string of other Premier League and top continental clubs who were desperate to snap up the teenage prodigy.
"The winger became the second youngest player ever to appear in the Premier League earlier this season when he came on as a substitute against Newcastle.
"And he went on to make seven Premier League appearances for Ruud van Nistelrooy's relegated Foxes.
"That sparked interest from Euro giants Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich as well as interest closer to home, led by Man City."
McNeilly plans to quit Chelsea
Young Chelsea striker Donnell McNeilly plans to quit the side in order to find regular first team football.
The 19-year-old will be available for a relatively small fee because Chelsea will be due compensation when his contract runs out.
The Athletic states: "Chelsea Under-21s striker Donnell McNeilly has rejected a contract offer to stay at Stamford Bridge and is planning to leave this summer.
"McNeilly’s current deal expires at the end of the month and Chelsea wanted to give him an extension.
"But the 19-year-old, who has not been given a chance to play for the senior side despite consistently being among the leading scorers in the youth ranks in recent years, is looking to leave in order to get first-team football.
"McNeilly is generating interest from Premier League and EFL clubs. The teenager’s main priority is joining a side with the best pathway to getting senior minutes so he can kick on with the next phase of his career.
"Chelsea will not be able to charge a fee for McNeilly’s departure because he is under 24 but will be entitled to compensation because he has been with them since Under-12 level."
