According to the Mirror, Guardiola is ready to continue rebuilding his squad after making four signings in the January transfer window.

"Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is ready to sanction a summer clear-out of eight senior stars, with Jack Grealish among the group of unwanted players," reads the article.

"A number of Guardiola's men have underperformed this season and the Spaniard will look to cash in on a handful of them as he looks to overhaul his ageing squad and usher in a new era.

"Grealish is expected to be one of the first names at City moved on this summer after struggling to get in Guardiola's team of late.

"Alongside Grealish, City are expected to listen to offers for Kevin de Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, Ilkay Gundogan, Ederson and Kyle Walker."

Palmer has no release clause

Cole Palmer's contract does not include a release clause that would be triggered if Chelsea miss out on next season’s UEFA Champions League.

That is according to the Mail, which has played down reports The Blues attacker has a clause in his contract should the club fail to make the top four.

Pamer has scored 14 league goals and registered six assists so far this season.

"Chelsea fans are naturally concerned about what missing out on Champions League football would mean for their club, including whether they would be at risk of losing Cole Palmer," reads the report.

"However, Confidential can confirm there is no release clause relating to Europe’s elite competition in his contract. Nor do Chelsea intend to entertain offers for the 22-year-old Englishman.

"Palmer extended his stay at Stamford Bridge at the start of the season, tying himself down for the next nine years with improved terms as a reward for his record-breaking first campaign with the Blues."

Van Persie could be set for Arsenal reunion

Robin van Persie could face former club Arsenal in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Van Persie has been linked with the vacant manager’s job at Feyenoord and could leave his current employers Heerenveen.

Arsenal will play either Feyenoord – who stunned AC Milan in the play-off round – or PSV, conquerors of Juventus, in the next stage.

"Robin van Persie could come up against former club Arsenal in the Champions League last-16 should he take the Feyenoord job after the Dutch side secured a famous victory over AC Milan in the play-offs," writes the Mirror.

"The ex-striker is currently managing Eredivisie side Heerenveen, who are ninth in the table, but he could be in line for a switch to former employers Feyenoord after they sacked Brian Priske.

"The club have made a double swoop for Van Persie and Erik ten Hag's former assistant Rene Hake, who are both represented by the same agency Sports Entertainment Group.

"It's understood negotiations will soon take place between Feyenoord and Heerenveen to release Van Persie from his contract. Hake was recently seen at Feyenoord's famous 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in January - teasing that he may take up a role with the club."

Chelsea, Man City & Barca interested in Leicester teenager

Some of Europe’s biggest clubs are monitoring the progress of Leicester teenager Jeremy Monga, claims the Mail.

Fifteen-year-old Monga has attracted the interest of Manchester City, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, according to the outlet.

"Manchester City and Chelsea are among the leading European clubs keeping a close eye on Leicester 15-year-old Jeremy Monga, who is already training regularly with the first team," reads the article.

"Paris St Germain and Barcelona have also made enquiries about Monga, a winger who can also play in other roles across the front line. He was included in the squad for Leicester’s recent FA Cup tie at Manchester United, and nearly made the bench for their Carabao Cup defeat at Old Trafford last October.

"Monga is already an England Under-16 international and is regarded as one of the best prospects Leicester have produced.

"Players cannot sign a professional contract before they turn 17, and Monga will not reach that age until July 2010.

"That leaves Leicester vulnerable to wealthier clubs – even though they are desperate to avoid a repeat of Trey Nyoni’s move to Liverpool in September 2023."
