Barca have been strongly linked with Atletico Madrid’s Alvarez and it is reported by Sport that they will continue their pursuit.

Alvarez is said to be Barca’s key target, but it is also noted that they will not pay over the odds for the Argentina international.

If Barca are not able to sign Alvarez they could turn their attentions to Bournemouth’s Kroupi, who scored 13 Premier League goals last season.

Dembele set for PSG stay

Paris Saint-Germain and Ousmane Dembele have reportedly held positive talks over a contract extension.

Dembele has been a key player as PSG have won back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles under Luis Enrique.

He won the Ballon d’Or in 2025 and looks set to be one of the leading contenders again this year.

There have been reports of interest from Saudi Arabia in Dembele.

But according to RMC Sport, talks over a new deal are progressing and an agreement is expected to be reached after the World Cup.

Rashford deadline set to pass

Barcelona’s deadline to sign Marcus Rashford for €30 million (£26m) from Manchester United expires on Monday.

Rashford, 28, impressed on loan at Barca last season and there were talks over making the move permanent.

However, Barca, who have already signed Rashford’s England team-mate Anthony Gordon, only have until June 15 to finalise the deal.

That looks unlikely to happen, with El Mundo Deportivo saying Barca have passed on the option.

As it stands he would be set to return to United under manager Michael Carrick.

Bayern close on Saibari

Bayern Munich are set to sign PSV Eindhoven’s Ismael Saibari.

It is reported by Sky Germany that the 25-year-old will have a medical at the World Cup, where he is playing for Morocco.

Saibari, who scored 19 goals and recorded nine assists last season, is set to sign a contract until 2031.

It is reported that Saibari will cost Bayern €50 million (£43m).

Will Vlahovic stay at Juventus?

New Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali is keen to keep striker Dusan Vlahovic at the club, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Vlahovic had appeared to be on his way out when his contract expires at the end of June.

But it is reported that Carnevali is keen to reopen talks and a meeting is planned with Vlahovic.

Vlahovic joined Juventus in 2022 and is reportedly wanting to continue with head coach Luciano Spalletti.
