Internazionale turn to Nico Paz, Jose Mourinho reveals fire sale stance at Real Madrid - Euro Transfer News

Inter suffered disappointment in their pursuit of Marco Palestra, who is expected to join Chelsea from Atalanta in a deal worth a reported £47.4 million.

The Serie A champions could now divert those funds towards securing the services of Paz, who has spent two campaigns at Como after leaving Real Madrid's academy.

This is according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, which notes that Madrid's £7.7m buy-back option could be activated in order to flip the 21-year-old for a huge profit.

The report, via Football Italia, reads: "It appears to be a tug of war between Como and Inter for Paz as things stand. Como’s sporting director Carlalberto Ludi is in the Spanish capital and is due to speak to representatives from Madrid about the possibility of keeping hold of Paz for another season. 

"Como hope that they will be able to convince Madrid into leaving Paz at the Stadio Sinigaglia for another season, and that Madrid will then activate their buy-back option next summer instead. The potential appeal for Madrid in that scenario is that Paz’s market value could increase even further than the current €60m if he spends next season playing Champions League football under Cesc Fabregas. 

"Inter hope for the opposite: That Madrid will activate their buy-back clause this summer and that they will be open to an immediate sale of the Argentine. There is also a hope that Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez might be able to help convince Paz while the pair are away together in the Argentina national team camp at the 2026 World Cup. 

"Corriere dello Sport warns, however, that if Inter are able to strike a deal for Paz, then the club would likely drop their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones."

Having already secured the signatures of Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella and Bernardo Silva, rumours surfaced that some big-name stars could be departing the Bernabeu this summer.

But newly arrived manager Jose Mourinho could have a say in Real Madrid's sales until the end of the transfer window.

Talking to former AFC Wimbledon and Wycombe Wanderers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa on the Beast Mode On Podcast, Mourinho made his stance clear.

He said: "We shouldn't be speaking about Real Madrid but I can just touch on a little point... I read a few things where people were saying: 'Jose Mourinho is coming here and he's going to cut some of the top players that supposedly they had some problems during the season'. No.

"I want these players. I want the best players. Now I have to find a way to have a team and not to have problems like, eventually, I don't know, I'm just reading, that they had in previous seasons.

"If you have problems with not very good players, that is a big problem. The big players are the big players."

Juventus are reportedly hopeful that they can strike a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Randal Kolo Muani.

The striker, who was on loan at Tottenham Hotspur for the season just gone, has promised to take a pay cut to facilitate the deal, claims Italian transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Football Italia writes: "According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, the hostile relations between Juventus and PSG have cooled down, but there are still a few bridges that need to be rebuilt. 

"More encouraging for Juventus is the fact that Kolo Muani is reportedly willing to lower his salary in order to facilitate a return to Serie A this summer. 

"It is believed that Kolo Muani earns between €7m-€8m per season on his current PSG contract, but Di Marzio suggests that he is willing to take a significant cut on that sum. Kolo Muani had also promised the same to Juventus during negotiations last summer."

Michael Olise has a string of suitors this summer, it seems.

Following a report from Christian Falk which suggested that the 24-year-old was not for sale, despite interest from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to be in the frame for an unlikely transfer.

German news outlet Kicker has claimed that Luis Enrique is a fan of Olise and would be keen for the France international to join compatriots Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue in Paris.

The report reads, via Get Football News France: "According to a report from Kicker, Luis Enrique has been monitoring Michael Olise’s performances at the FIFA World Cup.

"The former Barcelona head coach is pushing for Les Parisiens to sign the French international attacking midfielder. Olise is highly sought after this summer and is attracting interest from several clubs ahead of a potential move. Real Madrid are also interested in the former Crystal Palace player. 

"The Bundesliga champions are hoping to retain the services of the 24-year-old this summer. Bayern are set to offer the attacking midfielder a new contract to extend his stay in Bavaria. However, they face stiff competition with several clubs determined to acquire his services. "
