Real Madrid 'far from' finalising Vinicius Jr contract
As per Marca, Real Madrid are "far from" finalising a new deal for winger Vinicius Junior.
Vinicius' current deal runs until the end of June 2027, though talks of an extension are yet to have materialised into an agreement.
According to Spain’s Marca: "The new context surrounding Vinicius isn't helping another key issue either: the renewal of the Brazilian's contract with Real Madrid, which expires in 2027.
"According to sources close to this newspaper, that agreement is far from being finalised, with differences remaining regarding the length of the new contract and the financial terms.
"The Brazilian currently has no solid offers, as the interest from Saudi Arabia, which was once very strong, has cooled in recent months.
"No firm proposals have arrived from European clubs either, but Real Madrid has reason to be on alert.
"In six months, Vinicius will enter the final year of his contract, and that's always an uncertain scenario for the club that owns a player's rights.
"Real Madrid itself has taken advantage of this situation to acquire the services of important players, as happened with Courtois and Hazard."

Liverpool in pole position for Guehi
According to SkySports.ch, Liverpool remain in pole position to land Marc Guehi and are the only club Crystal Palace deem as well-positioned to sign the England defender in January.
The Eagles, who are fifth in the Premier League table, will reportedly ask for £35 million for their captain, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
The report reads: "Crystal Palace are now convinced that Liverpool are the only club truly positioned to sign Marc Guehi as early as January.
"The England international defender, under contract until the end of the season, will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign club in January - a situation that is pushing Palace to consider a quick sale to avoid a free departure.
"The Reds could thus overtake Bayern Munich, who are also interested but considered less active in the matter. The price tag for Guehi is said to be around £35 million, a reasonable sum for a player considered one of the most consistent defenders in the Premier League."

Palace target Diomande
SkySports.ch has also claimed that Crystal Palace would "immediately activate" a move for Sporting CP’s Ousmane Diomande, should Guehi leave in January.
According to the publication: "If Marc Guehi were to leave Selhurst Park this winter, Crystal Palace would immediately activate one of their priority targets: Ousmane Diomande.
"The Sporting defender has been on the shortlist of London's management since last summer, who consider him the natural successor to Guehi.
"The Ivory Coast international is reportedly open to a move, but Palace will only proceed if Guehi's sale is finalised. The club is therefore preparing for a flurry of defensive transfer activity."

Gomes 'close' to Man Utd transfer
According to Brazilian publication Trivela, Wolves’ Joao Gomes is "close" to a transfer to Old Trafford.
The publication alleges that the 24-year-old is on course for a January switch to United in a deal worth around £44m.
The Trivela report reads: "Midfielder Joao Gomes is close to changing clubs within the Premier League.
"The 24-year-old Brazilian is expected to leave Wolverhampton for Manchester United in a deal worth around €50m."

The report adds: "The United midfield received no summer signings - and that's precisely where Joao Gomes would fit in.
"The sector currently has Casemiro, who is expected to leave United at the end of the season, and Kobbie Mainoo, who is not in Amorim's plans. That would leave Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte as long-term options."

Allegri plays down Silva’s AC Milan return
Max Allegri has played down the suggestion that Thiago Silva could return to AC Milan upon the expiry of his Fluminense contract.
Silva, 41, spent three seasons at Milan from 2009 to 2012, winning a Serie A title as well as a Supercoppa Italiana.
The Brazilian netted four goals in 79 appearances under Allegri before joining Ligue 1 giants PSG in 2012.
On the prospect of Silva returning to Milan, Allegri said: "With Thiago, I spent two wonderful years. He is an extraordinary player and continues to play at good levels.
"As for the transfer market, that’s up to the club, we have to focus on the matches. Anyway, I didn’t call Thiago because he’s still a player, not a coach."

Guendouzi dismisses transfer talk amid Sunderland links
Lazio midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has dismissed speculation linking him away from Rome, including reports suggesting the former Arsenal star could move to Sunderland.
When asked about links to other clubs, the France international told DAZN: "For me, we are all focused on the present, we are united and that’s good.
"For me, it’s a good thing because I’ve played more than a hundred games in just two-and-a-half years, but I want to play again with this shirt and score more goals and more wins with the team. For me, it’s the most important thing."
