Real Sociedad winger Ander Barrenetxea has caught the attention of Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

Barrenetxea scored in the first minute of Sociedad’s Copa del Rey final victory over Atletico Madrid and is expected to make Spain’s squad for this summer’s World Cup.
The 24-year-old has scored 28 goals and recorded 18 assists in 233 appearances for Sociedad.
”His goal in the [Copa del Rey] final [the fastest in history], his debut for Spain, his inclusion in [Luis] de la Fuente's preliminary squad for the World Cup and a consistently high level of performance have all left their mark on the transfer market,” Marca reports.
”So much so that two Premier League giants have him on their list of potential signings to strengthen their squads this summer.
”Both Chelsea and Manchester United have closely monitored the Real Sociedad attacker's progress throughout the season. These clubs have little hesitation in spending a significant amount of money, and Barrenetxea is a player who fits the bill for their new projects ahead of next season.”

Guardiola the 'dream' Italy head coach
According to La Repubblica, Pep Guardiola is Giovanni Malago’s ”dream” candidate for the vacant Italy head coach role.
Malago is in the running to be the new Italian Football Federation (FIGC) president, with an election scheduled for June, while Guardiola is yet to announce whether he will see out his Manchester City contract that runs until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Italy are currently without a head coach following the departure of Gennaro Gattuso after their failure to qualify for a third successive World Cup.
The report claims that Malago is in a strong position to win the election and already has his eyes on potential candidates.
AC Milan’s Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly among them, but Guardiola is seen as the ideal replacement.

Juventus keen to sign Kolo Muani
Randal Kolo Muani has emerged as a top target for Juventus this summer. Manager Luciano Spalletti is eager to bring at least one attacker in and, according to CalcioMercato, Kolo Muani has been identified as a priority.
Kolo Muani is currently on loan at Tottenham Hotspur from Paris Saint-Germain, helping the north London club battle for Premier League survival, but his future is uncertain.
The 27-year-old spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Juventus, where he registered eight goals and one assist in 16 Serie A appearances.
According to reports, representatives from Juve and PSG are set to meet at a summit to discuss the conditions for a transfer.
”Regardless of how the season plays out, Luciano Spalletti has asked the club to revamp the attack, adding at least one centre-forward to the squad. Among the many names proposed and identified, the name of Randal Kolo Muani is making a strong comeback,” CalcioMercato reports.
”Kolo Muani represents an offensive asset for Juventus, capable of acting as a solo striker, providing a central attacking position, and even, when necessary, moving out wide.
”He settled in well in Turin, his skills already well-known, as was his impact in front of goal, which was crucial during the six months that led the Bianconeri back to the Champions League. Today, the Frenchman is considered a priority, certainly, but not at any price.”
