Man Utd and Chelsea eye Dortmund star

Borussia Dortmund star Felix Nmecha has caught the eye of Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea this season, according to Sky Sport Germany.

The 25-year-old, who spent over 10 years in the Manchester City academy, made his first-team debut in the League Cup semi-final against Burton Albion in 2019, and also featured in the UEFA Champions League.

But he was released in 2021 and moved to Wolfsburg, where he impressed enough to earn a transfer to Dortmund. Now, he could make his return to England.

The update reads: "Despite fierce competition, BVB star Felix Nmecha has secured a regular starting position in Dortmund's densely populated midfield.

"His strong performances have also attracted interest from the Premier League, with clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United expressing interest in the 25-year-old.

"Nmecha's contract runs until 2028, but according to Sky Sport information, BVB would like to extend it early and sit down with the midfield star for talks after the current winter transfer period.

"Nmecha, who grew up in England, was asked at the BVB press conference before the Spurs game whether he would like to play in the Premier League someday.

"The German international replied that the English league was something 'special' for him, but declined to elaborate further."

Lewandowski set for MLS switch

With much speculation around Robert Lewandowski's future, Sky Sport Germany has also reported that the striker will not leave Barcelona this winter.

Instead, the 37-year-old will depart at the end of the season and move to Major League Soccer in the United States, despite growing interest from multiple Saudi Pro League clubs.

Lewandowski, who scored his first UEFA Champions League goal of the season on Wednesday in a 4-2 win over Slavia Prague, is under contract until June.

Florian Plettenberg reports: "Robert Lewandowski has very concrete options in the MLS for the summer. MLS clubs are pushing, and a move to the United States appeals to him.

"Other options include Saudi Arabia or another challenging move within Europe.

"His contract with Barca is set to expire. Retirement in the summer is currently not an issue."

Villa among clubs chasing En-Nesyri

According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli, Juventus and Aston Villa are all in the running for Fenerbahce forward Youssef En-Nesyri, who recently played in the Africa Cup of Nations final for Morocco.

The Italian journalist has reported that all three clubs have been in contact with the Turkish giants in the last day or so.

In his update, Romano also reported that Villa remain keen on the signing of Besiktas forward Tammy Abraham.

"Youssef En-Nesyri will decide his future soon with several clubs keen," he wrote on social media. "After Napoli and Juventus, Aston Villa also called in the last 24 hours.

"Villa have been working on Tammy Abraham deal for days, agreed on player side but still not with Besiktas."

Sky Sports suggests that Everton and Nottingham Forest are also interested in En-Nesyri.

Arsenal chase 'Serbian Pedri'

According to the Daily Express, Arsenal have scouted 17-year-old Vasilije Kostov, dubbed the "Serbian Pedri".

The newspaper reports that both Arsenal and Dortmund have sent scouts to watch the teenager in UEFA Europa League action on Thursday, as his Crvena Zvezda side takes on Malmo.

The report reads: "The promising Serbian international has already earned his first cap for his country after a remarkable breakthrough season at home, scoring six goals in 24 appearances across all competitions.

"Kostov, who has already scored against Portuguese heavyweights Porto in Europe, has been labelled both the 'Balkan Barella' and the 'Serbian Pedri' due to his impressive technical skills.

"Red Star Belgrade's general director Zvezdan Terzic confirmed that there is already substantial interest in the young player as the competition for his signature heats up."
