Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and others are in the hunt for Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali of Newcastle United, while Tino Livramento could also be on his way out of St James’ Park this summer. Elsewhere, Liverpool are believed to have lined up several candidates to replace Arne Slot after he lost at Manchester City.

Utd could make swift move for Anderson
The Manchester Evening News believes Manchester United could move quickly in the summer transfer window to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson.
The 23-year-old is also wanted by Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
The paper states: ”Manchester United are expected to make a quick approach for Elliot Anderson when the summer transfer window reopens in a bid to broker a cheaper deal. The Nottingham Forest midfielder has been touted for a move to Old Trafford this summer as [a] potential replacement for Casemiro.
”The Brazilian announced earlier this year that 2025/26 will be his last season with The Reds, as he looks to the next stage of his career away from Old Trafford. As a result, the board are thought to be considering snapping up a successor to the defensive stalwart as priority No. 1.
”On top of the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali, Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba, Anderson has been heavily linked with a move to United when clubs are permitted to do business once more. However, The Reds are not the only club who are thought to be tailing the 23-year-old.
”Bitter rivals Manchester City are also interested in securing Anderson's services, with the likes of Bernardo Silva and Rodri entering the twilight years of their respective careers. Elsewhere, Arsenal and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the talent.”
Newcastle set price for Tonali
Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United will all need to pay up if they want Sandro Tonali.
The Newcastle midfielder is valued at ÂŁ100 million by his club, who are facing a series of major exits come the summer.
The Sun explains: ”SunSport revealed Manchester United are among a growing group of suitors keeping tabs on Tonali, 25, ahead of the summer transfer window.
”Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City are also among the teams linked with the midfielder.
”However, the ex-AC Milan star is expected to command a hefty fee in the region of £100 million.
”Newcastle are braced for a potential squad overhaul this summer with the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento also linked with an exit.”
City keen on Livramento
Newcastle will need to sign two right-backs in the summer, if Manchester City prise Tino Livramento away from St James’ Park.
The club are interested in the defender, while Kieran Trippier has confirmed that he will leave the side.
The Athletic writes: ”Trippier will need to be replaced and there is a possibility that Newcastle will be searching for two new right-backs this summer.
”Livramento only has two years remaining on his current and there has been no public communication about a possible extension.
”Manchester City have been credited with an interest in the England defender and if both men were to leave it would represent a recruitment headache for Newcastle.
”One thing is for certain: whoever comes after Trippier will have big boots to fill.”
Liverpool draw up Slot replacement shortlist
The Express puts forward Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard, Cesc Fabregas and Jurgen Klopp as candidates to replace Arne Slot.
Liverpool head coach Slot endured a 4-0 Emirates FA Cup defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, ratcheting up the pressure on the Dutchman.
The paper reports: ”Potentially the candidate with the most concrete chance of succeeding Slot, reports in Germany have claimed that Xabi Alonso is primed to take charge at Liverpool. He has been out of work since his exit from Real Madrid this season and is already a fan favourite at Anfield.
”Gerrard has struggled since leaving Rangers and taken a step back from coaching, but he has shown plenty of promise in the dugout.
”One of Europe’s most promising managers at the moment, Fabregas is thriving at Serie A side Como.
”Klopp was on Merseyside last week, returning to coach a legends match, but he has been absent from such roles since leaving Liverpool.
”He has instead been in charge of Red Bull’s group of clubs but is continuously linked with a return to management.”
