Locatelli on Man Utd's radar

According to Calciomercato, Juventus captain Manuel Locatelli is the subject of interest from Manchester United.

The 28-year-old has been in Turin since 2021, initially on loan from Sassuolo, before signing permanently in 2023.

United are said to consider Locatelli as the perfect replacement for Casemiro, the Brazil international who is departing Old Trafford at the conclusion of this season.

The Euro 2020 winner is under contract for the Old Lady until 2028, so it is unlikely United would be able to sign him on a cut-price deal.

Tonali's Toon dilemma

Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali has "no preference" on where he may go this summer, according to his agent Giuseppe Riso.

In an interview with Italian outlet Tuttosport, Riso explained that Newcastle are not interested in letting go of the Italian but that there would be talks in the summer.

"Newcastle is having a hard time letting go of Sandro and he wants to lead the club into the Champions League.

"These transfer discussions will take place later. We'll see how the season ends and then decide what to do.

"There's no preference right now [between Arsenal and Juventus]. It's still early.

"What we're saying today won't apply tomorrow: Newcastle couldn't part with him now and it wasn't worth moving, especially since Sandro is very attached to the club.

"We'll evaluate things in the summer and decide what to do."

Ramos offers himself to Marseille

According to Marca, Sergio Ramos has offered himself to Ligue 1 title chasers Marseille.

Ramos, 39, became a free agent when he left Mexican side Monterrey, where he made 34 appearances across his two seasons at the club.

The Spanish legend had previously made himself available to boyhood club Sevilla but owing to his impending takeover of the La Liga strugglers, he is unable to make that move.

As a result, he will instead look elsewhere and he has offered his services to the French giants.

Ramos knows Ligue 1 well having spent two seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, where he won Ligue 1 in both the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons.

Oxlade-Chamberlain to join Celtic

Former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to join Celtic as a free agent, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was released by Turkish side Besiktas in August.

Since then, the 32-year-old has been on the lookout for the right club and in Martin O’Neill’s Celtic, he appears to have found it.

Celtic remain six points off the top of the Scottish Premiership table, with a game in hand over league leaders Hearts.

Schlager to leave RB Leipzig at the end of the season

A midfielder who is definitely on the move this summer is Xaver Schlager, who will leave Bundesliga side RB Leipzig after four seasons.

The 28-year-old joined from fellow German side Wolfsburg in 2022 and was involved in the side who won the DFB-Pokal that season.

The Austrian announced on the RB Leipzig website that a desire to experience "something different" was the reason behind his decision.

He said: "This is not a decision against RB Leipzig, but rather for something new.

"Anyone who knows me knows that I will give everything for this club, its fans, and our goals until the final whistle of my last match.

"Above all, I want to end the RB Leipzig chapter on a positive note!"
