Phil Foden has had a quiet summer, having missed out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup selection for England, but that might be about to change if reports from Turkiye are correct, with Galatasaray said to be considering an offer for the midfielder.

Foden has been at Manchester City for his entire career, coming up through the youth ranks and featuring heavily under Pep Guardiola.
Having won plenty of silverware in his time at the Etihad Stadium, Foden endured a more difficult 2025/26 season, and is yet to see what life will be like under Enzo Maresca.
According to Fanatik, Galatasaray are said to be interested in the England international - if they can agree the right price.
The Super Lig champions want to fill the No. 10 spot, with Foden the lead target, although Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes has also been mentioned, along with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Can Uzun.
"Although the transfer appears to be quite costly, it is stated that the Galatasaray management is ready to push all boundaries to secure the deal," Fanatik reported.
"It has been learnt that president Dursun Ozbek has given full authority to agent George Gardi, who is handling the transfer negotiations, and that Gardi was the first to bring the star player's name to the table."
If Foden is on the market for a move, there will likely be plenty of interest from elsewhere as well, despite the fact that he has not been displaying his skills at the World Cup.
Romero still looking to leave Tottenham
Cristian Romero has made no secret of his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur, with the club starting to use the Argentina international as a negotiating tool.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Romero could be offered as part of a deal with Djed Spence to Inter, although Barcelona and Real Madrid are also reportedly interested.
"It would be quite the story if Cristian Romero, a former Juventus prospect, joined Inter as a possible replacement for one of their star centre-backs amid rumours that Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid want to land Romero," the report states.

"But the reality is that Romero is priced out of most clubs. Teams just are not willing to spend a whole lot on centre backs who are not young, and with the wages Romero will want, that eats into how much a Serie A club like Inter can give.
"With the Premier League pretty much off the table, Romero's best bet is going to La Liga, and Tottenham Hotspur thus have fewer suitors to work with, which will impact the ultimate price that Romero can go for to either Atletico Madrid or Barcelona."
Inter considering free agent Stones
Internazionale are looking to fill a defensive slot, and it seems the Italian Serie A giants have a few options to consider.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are involved in a slight juggling act, with Benjamin Pavard an option if he returns from a loan spell at Olympique Marseille.
The first decision is what to do with the Frenchman, who was not selected for France’s World Cup squad. And then Gazzetta believes much will depend on how negotiations with Chelsea and Trevoh Chalobah continue.
"The difficulties Inter encountered in negotiations with Chelsea for Trevoh Chalobah - who, amongst other things, is still involved in the World Cup, a detail that would further extend the time frame for reaching an agreement - could dramatically rewrite the future of the former Bayern [Munich] Frenchman and keep him in Milan," the report states.
"What is certain is that the situation with Chelsea for Chalobah has now frozen into a near-definitive standstill, and it could remain so.
"The Blues' demands are too high, and an agreement with the defender's entourage is still far off, making it difficult to imagine the Englishman wearing the Nerazzurri shirt."

If Inter fail to secure Chalobah’s services, there is another Englishman they are considering - John Stones, who is a free agent this summer having left Manchester City at the end of his contract.
However, Gazzetta made it clear that fitness concerns remain a factor for Inter when considering Stones as an option.
Moreira to Roma if the price is right
Diego Moreira did not make it off the bench in Belgium’s knock-out match against Spain in the World Cup, watching his side lose 2-1 from the sidelines.
But he has been in the thick of the action in terms of summer moves, with reports from Gazzetta dello Sport stating that a deal is close with Roma.
"The agreement between Roma and the Strasbourg player is complete, but now the two clubs must reach a compromise. The Giallorossi, in fact, remain stuck at an offer of around €30 million [£25.5m], plus a 10% interest on the player's potential resale," Gazzetta reports.

"The French club, on the other hand, wants at least €40m [£34m], a figure lower than the €50m [£42.5m] it was asking for a couple of weeks ago."

Aubameyang set to leave Marseille
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to join Deportivo La Coruna at the age of 37, with a deal reportedly agreed with Marseille for the striker.
According to a report from Foot Mercato, the move is worth €1.5m (£1.3m).
"The Gabon international will not be joining Marseille on their pre-season tour, leaving the club’s training ground this afternoon. The reason is now clear, the former Arsenal, Chelsea, and Dortmund striker is set to join newly-promoted La Liga side Deportivo,” said Yahoo Sports.
Aubameyang spent four years at Arsenal, and one season at Chelsea, before two spells at Marseille were interspersed with a season at Al Qadsiah.
