Marc Marquez has been hailed as the greatest motorcycle rider of all time by former World Superbikes champion Neil Hodgson.
Marquez narrowly overcame his brother Alex Marquez to claim victory in the Sprint race at Grand Prix Argentina on Saturday.
And the victory saw TNT Sports expert Hodgson pay the most fulsome of tributes to the Spaniard afterwards.
"I saw on X yesterday and I know you shouldn't, but people are saying, well the depth of field isn't quite what it's been in the past, and I'm thinking, you what?" Hodgson said.
"I looked at the field - with 22 riders, over half of them are world champions and six of those have won multiple world titles. This field is incredibly stacked with the best of the best.
"For Marc to stand out so much just really underlines what we're seeing here. We are seeing a genius. I've said this before and I know I say it a lot, for me he's the greatest rider I've ever seen. And that includes Valentino Rossi."

Hodgson's fellow pundit Michael Laverty seemed to agree with that assessment.
"I align with Neil in that Marc's the fastest, most aggressive, articulate. He does everything right in terms of a racer," Laverty said.

"You can't argue with the stats with Marc, with what he's been through, with the level he's at now, arguably at his best."
Marc Marquez will start in pole position for Sunday's main race, which is live on TNT Sports and discovery+, with his brother Alex in second and Johann Zarco third.

Marc has enjoyed an ideal start to the 2025 season, winning the Sprint and main race in Thailand two weeks ago to kick-start his championship bid - capitalising on the injury-enforced absence of Jorge Martin.
Now he has set his sights on the same double in Termas de Rio Hondo this weekend, a success that would send out an ominous sign to his rivals, and extend a so-far perfect start to life at Ducati Lenovo.
