Jamie Dwan claims the $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em golden bracelet

The Main Event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Day 6 was full of action as we saw the field reduced to just 62 players. At present, the field is being led by Tyler Gaston in front with a stack of 21,000,000, with the American aiming to win his maiden golden bracelet; however, he still has several notable players he will have to overcome to make that a reality.                                                                   

Hossein Ensan, the 2019 Main Event winner, is not far behind with 17,775,000 chips; reigning Player of the Year Shaun Deeb has 8,725,000 chips, and poker Hall of Famer Todd Brunson has 17,000,000.

Several big names were eliminated on Day 6 of the Main Event, including Sean Winter, three-time bracelet winner Dutch Boyd and Day 4 chip count leader Sam Snead.

Elsewhere around the tables of Las Vegas, we witnessed Jamie Dwan win the $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em. Dwan would get a prize pot of $2,276,691, and in the process, he won his maiden golden bracelet at the WSOP. The $1,500 Pick Your PLO was dominated by Sergio Benso, as he claimed the golden bracelet in an incredible performance. Benso would manage to keep second-placed Farhad Jamasi at bay, as he would end the tournament with a prize pot of $196,431.

While we had no other golden bracelet winners in today’s events, there was plenty of entertaining action from around the tables. After the end of Day 1D of the $300 Gladiators of Poker, out of the 4,267 entries, there were only 147 survivors. Marcos Da Silva was the chip count leader from Day 1D with 3,030,000, a total that will see him start with the third-highest count for Day 2.

Then in the $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship, Mitchell Hynam leads the chip count at the end of today’s play with 2,560,000, while following closely behind in second with both players on 2,000,000 are Alan Ferraro and Adedapo Ajayi.

At the end of Day 2 in the $3,000 T.O.R.S.E., only 20 players remain to fight for the first-place prize of $247,842. Leading the way into Day 3 is Alex Livingston, who has a total of 1,840,000 chips, with second-place Qinghai Pan having 1,810,000.

Day 1 of the $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em concluded for the day with 130 players remaining from the 357 entrants. Kenzo Ishida is currently leading the field with a chip count of 479,500, followed closely by Fahredin Mustafov with 477,000, and Loic Debregeas in third place with 475,000.

The final tournament we got to witness was action from Day 1A of the $1,500 The Closer, with 129 players surviving from the 1,078 entrants, and leading the chip count was David Yue with 1,500,000.
