Ali Carter completed another rousing comeback victory to book his place in the final of the Shanghai Masters with 10-8 semi-final win over Mark Selby on Friday.
After winning the final four frames from 5-2 behind to complete superb 6-5 wins against Mark Williams in the last 16 and Xiao Guodong in the quarter-finals, the two-time world finalist again showed his mettle to recover from 8-6 behind and book his place in Sunday's showpiece match.
Selby looked set to move 9-6 clear, leading 45-0 in the 15th frame, but missed a nervy attempt on a blue to the green pocket and never potted another ball as Carter assumed complete control.
Breaks of 66, 83, 62 and 79 saw the 2010 Shanghai Masters champion tot up an amazing 347 points without reply in seeing out the victory against the four-time Crucible winner.

It had all looked so good for Selby after moving two frames ahead for the first time with breaks of 85, 85, 63, 80, 108, 81, 91 and 62 before the wheels seemed to come off dramatically on the back of the missed blue.
World No. 17 Carter had led 5-4 after the afternoon session in China, contributing 76, 70, 102 and 129 to level at 6-6 before his latest prodigious four-frame winning burst at the end.
The Essex professional, who only earned an invite to the event after world No. 10 Mark Allen withdrew, will face world champion Zhao Xintong or 2024 Crucible winner Kyren Wilson in Sunday's best-of-21 frame final, with a £210,000 first prize on the line.
Zhao and Wilson begin the second semi-final at 7am BST on Saturday morning, with the action live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

Result: Selby 8-10 Carter

And there we have it. No century, but the 79 break from Carter sees Selby offer the handshake. Exceptional from Ali Carter, who finished like a steam train. He will face Zhao Xintong or Kyren Wilson in Sunday's semi-final.

Selby 8-9 Carter (0-79)

This has been supreme from Carter. Vintage levels of play. Could also be a century to finish this off.

Selby 8-9 Carter (0-65)

Looking for a red and a colour to seal his spot in the final.

Selby 8-9 Carter (0-60)

This has been quite a turnaround in this semi-final. Was all Selby leading 8-6, but the match has turned well away from him here. Carter on the cusp of victory.

Selby 8-9 Carter (0-45)

Carter moving over 300 points without a response from Selby. Which tells you about the direction of travel. Nice shot by Ali to land on black via a few reds. Not far from the winning post in this semi-final. Looks like the beginning of the end for Selby.

Selby 8-9 Carter (0-29)

Ali trying to be mindful of his work. Can probably smell a spot in the final here. Split on the pack will determine how far this break goes.

Selby 8-9 Carter (0-15)

Another safety error by Selby as he tried to catch the pack of reds thin. But misses the red and ends up going straight into the reds and sticks up a decent starter for Ali. He's in here first again, right away.

Selby 8-9 Carter (0-0)

Carter has scored 268 points without reply since Selby missed a blue on the cusp of a 9-6 advantage.

Selby 8-8 Carter (0-90)

Carter is going to be one up with a possible two frames to play. Nothing to split these men all day. And are we heading for another glorious Carter comeback story in Shanghai? He's reeled off the past three frames. Selby looked set for 9-6, but couldn't convert and needs to dig himself out of a tight spot here.

Selby 8-8 Carter (0-66)

Would you believe it! Two points away from 9-8, but he misses a tough cut on a red to right middle. Selby can't punish as he fails to slot a red to right centre seconds later. Not good signs for him. And Carter responds by rolling in a long red.

Selby 8-8 Carter (0-54)

Another excellent red is put away by Ali using the rest. Chance to attack the pack off high blue. But he opts to play for the loose red again. Closing in on a 9-8 lead. Selby hasn't potted a ball since missing the key blue leading 8-6. One shot. Such a big momentum turner.

Selby 8-8 Carter (0-42)

Blue is chipped away with real ease, and the confidence is surging through the cue of Ali Carter at the moment.

Selby 8-8 Carter (0-28)

Carter with all the momentum and a real bounce in his step as he walks around the table. Warming to the task at the business end of the baize. Right where he needs to be.

Selby 8-8 Carter (0-12)

Carter in again here in the 17th frame after Selby makes a mess of a break-off shot. Red comes up to hang near right centre, and Ali puts that away with some relish.

Selby 8-7 Carter (0-112)

83 break from Carter shows how well he is hitting the ball from close range. Once again we are level at 8-8. A possible three more frames to play.

Selby 8-7 Carter (0-75)

This semi-final is heading level at 8-8. Quite majestic stuff from 'The Captain' under intense pressure. Best of three then for a place in the final.

Selby 8-7 Carter (0-45)

Stuck right in the heart of a tough safety bout at the moment. Selby happy to mix it from deep. Carter being posed the question. Big moments in this match. And what a brilliant long red Carter has pulled out! Had nowhere to go, and opted to go full blooded for the red. Didn't touch the sides. What a chance he has given himself here to level at 8-8.

Selby 8-7 Carter (0-25)

Carter taking time to work out his next move from deep in baulk. Knows the dangers of even a minor slip. Opts for the containing shot.

Selby 8-7 Carter (0-25)

Into the pack of reds off black. Not sure he is on a red here. Sizing up a tough red to green pocket. Or does he bail out and run safe? He goes for red, but well off the potting angle. Selby confronts a red to green bag too. But well off the angle. Played with safety in mind.

Selby 8-7 Carter (0-16)

Error by Selby in leaving the white short of pace in baulk. Lands on brown spot and Carter punches in the long red. In goes black. Wasn't easy cutback, but well controlled. Carter perhaps sensing his moment here.

Selby 8-6 Carter (45-66)

In goes the blue Carter requires followed by pink to left middle. A pressure clearance of 66 from Carter. Back to 8-7 behind. Selby left to reflect on what might have been.

Selby 8-6 Carter (45-46)

Down to the colours here with Carter clutching a three-point lead. These balls could all have been Mark's. But he missed the blue, and paid the price.

Selby 8-6 Carter (45-8)

Well, that is unexpected. Selby with a challenging blue to green pocket. Doesn't drop. That was a nervy one, and Carter can launch the counter in his quest to close back to within one.

Selby 8-6 Carter (37-0)

Selby has a few chances. Doesn't make much, but then picks out a plant on a red. Which could be so crucial in terms of winning this frame. Ali being forced to spectate the longer this progresses.

Selby 8-6 Carter (5-0)

Ali going a bit wrong for Carter as he sees a long red stick in the jaws. Almost there, but not quite. And not quite won't get the job done tonight.

Selby 7-6 Carter (79-14)

Selby winning four out of five frames this evening. A break of 62 this time does the job for the Jester. He leads 8-6.

Selby 7-6 Carter (50-14)

Ali faltering a bit at the key moments, but don't forget he trailed 5-2 in the previous two rounds and reeled off the final four frames. So can't count him out. Carter penalised for failing to snare a long red. This break from Selby has been the result.

Selby 7-6 Carter (34-14)

Selby with chance to move two frames clear for the first time in this semi-final. Which would be a big move given how tight things have been up until this juncture.

Selby 7-6 Carter (17-14)

But Selby then breaks down seconds later as he runs out of position. Is the tension starting to mount? Certainly feels a bit like that.

Selby 7-6 Carter (10-14)

But Carter can't cash in when the chips are down. Loses white and black off spot stays out. Wasn't easy, but hugely disappointing and premature end to break.

Selby 7-6 Carter (1-7)

Carter goes for a long red, doesn't drop and he doesn't get lucky. But Selby somehow misses an easy pink to left centre after sinking red. Wow! Didn't expect that. A huge let-off for Ali.

Selby 7-6 Carter (0-0)

A couple of fabulous safety efforts from both men with Carter showing his quality in response to a high quality shot from Selby. Little between them today in any department so far.

Selby 7-6 Carter (0-0)

Ali with the honours in breaking off frame 14 of a possible 19. Selby needs three, Carter four. All coming down to the wire.

Selby 7-6 Carter (0-0)

Selby 6-6 Carter (92-4)

No century from Selby, but 91 is impeccable from the four-time world champion. They head for a quick cuppa and Selby leads 7-6. Still too close to call.

Selby 6-6 Carter (76-4)

Ali realising this frame has slipped away. Work to be done when they resume. Selby with one tough red left on a side rail to get over if he wants the ton.

Selby 6-6 Carter (37-4)

Mark looking to get his nose in front at the final break of this semi-final. All looking very positive here. Black is drained and those reds open very nicely indeed. Surely a frame-winning chance now. Are we going to see Selby bring up the 900th century of his career?

Selby 6-6 Carter (14-4)

That was an excellent long pot on a red by Selby. Fine piece of cueing and he gets his reward to land on a colour. Looking to get black back on spot.

Selby 6-6 Carter (1-4)

Could be a case of who handles the nerves better in these closing stages. Two players clearly in form. But tension will play a part in nearing the winning line.

Selby 6-6 Carter (0-4)

Selby 6-5 Carter (0-129)

Carter with an impeccable 129 to restore parity at 6-6. Scoring not an issue on semi-final Friday in Shanghai.

Selby 6-5 Carter (0-101)

Carter with his fifth century of the event. Which says it all. Both men having their moments in this semi-final. 6-6 all with one frame to come before the mid-session break.

Selby 6-5 Carter (0-72)

The best of 19 is now coming down to a best-of-seven for a final spot. What are the odds of a final-frame decider to settle this? Nothing much to split them in Shanghai.

Selby 6-5 Carter (0-65)

This time the break advances beyond the 50-mark. Selby missed a red early in this frame, and Carter put away plant to get in. Tricky cutback black is superbly put away by Ali, and chance now to get this frame finalised.

Selby 6-5 Carter (0-21)

Big visit to the table for Ali here with Mark in the groove. First to the punch in this 12th frame of the match. Nice rolled blue to a top pocket gains him access to another red. Nicely on black, and this looks like a very decent shout to extend his visit to the table. But we were here before in the previous frame.

Selby 5-5 Carter (82-41)

63 from Selby as brown is downed, and he is going to regain the lead at 6-5. Very impressive in these conditions. A brilliant clearance of 81 from Selby. He moves ahead at 6-5.

Selby 5-5 Carter (48-41)

Down to the final red in this 11th frame. Ali will be fearing worst. Big shot on pink to follow. In it goes, and he is nicely on the yellow too. Looks like a steal is incoming.

Selby 5-5 Carter (12-41)

Swerve shot by Mark to poke a red into a top pocket. Ali looking slightly concerned. Little wonder. That 41 break always felt a bit on the light side. Jester aiming to launch the counter.

Selby 5-5 Carter (1-41)

Thin cut on pink to keep the break going, but the pink and black are both tied up. Looks like a very decent chance to regain the lead in match. But he loses the white, and is forced to run safe. Which was not the plan you suspect.

Selby 5-5 Carter (1-29)

Carter trying to work out where he goes from here. Black on the pink spot and plenty of reds in open too. No wonder Selby's face was like thunder after his missed red. Could be costly if Ali can deduce the right order of balls to take.

Selby 5-5 Carter (1-1)

Carter misses red to left centre. Wasn't easy, but didn't drop. And Mark can despatch a longish red seconds later. Chance for Carter to get feel of table.

Selby 5-5 Carter (1-0)

Essentially, playing a best-of-nine frame match now for a final spot. Selby breaks off in frame 11 of a possible 19. Carter with an attacking safety shot in spreading the reds. All open now, and Selby trickles in red off other red to land on black. But he misses the black with an undercut effort. Relief for Ali.

Selby 4-5 Carter (130-0)

A century clearance of 108 from Selby, the 899th of his career. That was composed, classy and clinical. Sending the message to Ali. Which he probably knew before the semi-final began.

Selby 4-5 Carter (105-0)

Fine shot by Mark to cannon out red using green. Colours all there now as he hits 81.

Selby 4-5 Carter (71-0)

Selby pops in the black, and that is job done for the frame. Making a fast to the second session. Nobody has opened up a two-frame lead so far in the match. And so the tug-of-war continues. Will we see a Selby century?

Selby 4-5 Carter (42-0)

Seven reds left on deck, but wouldn't expect many to be left when Mark ends this contribution. Looks like we may well be heading back to 5-5 in this engrossing semi-final.

Selby 4-5 Carter (25-0)

22 coming off the cue tip of Selby, but no one-big visit kill. Back at the baize seconds later with a three-ball plant. That was very pleasant indeed. Could really weigh in with a decent break now.

Selby 4-5 Carter (8-0)

Carter breaks off the 10th frame of a possible 19. And Selby responds by carting home a long red straight off the bat. Supreme stuff, and he tickles away a black using the rest too.

Selby 4-5 Carter (0-0)

Okay, we are almost ready to get the boys back on the baize in the bustling city of Shanghai. Ali with a 5-4 lead from a tough opening session this morning. Could be quite the evening ahead. Or afternoon if you are in Europe. First man to 10 will reach Sunday's final and the chance of a £210,000 first prize from this elite 24-player event.

Latest: Selby 4-5 Carter

We will be back at 12:30pm BST with the conclusion of this contest. The first man to 10 frames will reach Sunday's final in Shanghai with the winner set to take on Zhao Xintong or Kyen Wilson, who contest the second semi-final on Saturday.

Selby 4-4 Carter (59-69)

And that is a very fine steal from Ali Carter as he takes out the colours. A possible 10 frames to play this evening, but a slender 5-4 lead for Carter after the first session. Absorbing stuff, but the two-time world finalist sneaks clear.

Selby 4-4 Carter (59-47)

Ali releases brown from baulk cushion off yellow. Chance then for Carter to edge the first session. Just requires the final four colours.

Selby 4-4 Carter (59-42)

But Selby can't drain the red with the rest. Pockets really not playing ball out there today when you aren't right on the money. Onto the colours.

Selby 4-4 Carter (59-36)

But he misses the penultimate red heading for home along top cushion. Still life left in this frame. Carter misses blue to right middle trying to land on a red on left-hand side rail.

Selby 4-4 Carter (57-35)

Carter with a bit of jovial thinking as he suggests re-rack. Selby downs a long red seconds later to break the deadlock. Chance to put some distance between himself and his opponent.

Selby 4-4 Carter (36-35)

Selby leaves Carter chance of a long red. Which he seems to hit too well as red comes back out from centre of pocket. No damage done.

Selby 4-4 Carter (36-35)

Ali battling hard to regain his standing in the frame. Within one point suddenly as he gets red off a side cushion via deep screw shot on black. But then misses red to green pocket.

Selby 4-4 Carter (36-11)

Feels like this is a deciding frame. A quite stunning long red from Ali to green bag. So many reds welded to cushions out there. Difficult to win frame here you would suggest. And red with rest eludes him. Scrappy old fare to conclude this session, but winning it will feel good.

Selby 4-4 Carter (36-5)

Important shot from blue to the next red. Faced with a low blue, but the positional shot in and out of baulk goes awry. On nothing. That is a chance that has slipped by. Ali's error doesn't cost him frame. Safety to follow from Mark as he rolls white to baulk cush.

Selby 4-4 Carter (16-0)

Huge blunder by Ali early in the ninth frame. Safety shot went all wrong, and he has left Selby plum in the balls. Real chance to do some damage here with black in open. Chance then to carry a lead into the second session tonight in China.

Selby 4-4 Carter (0-0)

Selby 4-3 Carter (5-60)

Not vintage one-visit stuff here, but Ali forces the error from Mark, and he is heading for 4-4. Misses pink so not yet over the line. 55 the lead with a possible 51 left up. Eventually, the concession comes from Selby after he sticks up a red on top cushion. One more frame to come of the first session.

Selby 4-3 Carter (5-39)

But he misses a tricky cut on a red to left middle. Break ends on 33. Ali heads back to his chair. Seven reds left on deck so plenty of oxygen left in this frame.

Selby 4-3 Carter (5-20)

Ali digging in as you would expect as he tries to establish a lead in the frame that would haul him level at 4-4.

Carter nails ‘satisfying, admirable’ century in semi-final with Selby

Selby 4-3 Carter (5-1)

Is this the moment Selby makes his move? Chance here early in the eighth frame to gain some traction, but he misses a tricky red trying to cut it down a side rail. Wasn't a gimme, but chance slips by. Ali can't nudge red in off top cushion before Mark misses long red. All very tense.

Selby 3-3 Carter (80-4)

Twice in and out of baulk to extend break, but white ball has been under lock-and-key. Again, no century for Selby, but no matter. 80 earns a round of applause, and a 4-3 advantage.

Selby 3-3 Carter (67-4)

Getting plenty of action on the cue ball when he constructs these breaks. Surely a 4-3 lead for Selby is incoming.

Selby 3-3 Carter (43-4)

What is the damage going to be here for Carter? Selby prowling the balls with some intent, and tends to devour them without a second thought at this range.

Selby 3-3 Carter (0-4)

The white ball finding its way back to baulk with some regularity here. Excellent level of safety play by both men. But Carter blinks first with error coming off two cushions. Chance for Mark with easy red to get started.

Selby 3-2 Carter (0-118)

102 from Ali. Which is just the job from the Essex player. Quickly back to 3-3. Three more frames to come in this session.

Selby 3-2 Carter (0-80)

Will we see a century from Ali here? Break reaches 65 with more to come. An engrossing old battle in progress.

Selby 3-2 Carter (0-57)

This is the ideal response from Ali. Clearing his mind of negative thoughts, and clearing up too.

Selby 3-2 Carter (0-33)

Excellent piece of cueing by Ali to stroke in a straight mid-range red. Will look to make himself feel better by producing a decent break here after that disastrous end to fifth frame.

Selby 3-2 Carter (0-12)

Ali looking none too pleased with that blunder. No wonder. But he powers in a long red as he tries to get back on the horse here. Another four frames to be played in this sesh.

Selby 2-2 Carter (79-58)

Would you believe that? Carter blows up on colours. Blue to pink was poor. And he ends missing tough pink with rest and goes in off. Needs a snooker, but doesn't matter as Mark rolls in pink. Selby with a 3-2 lead when he looked certain to trail.

Selby 2-2 Carter (67-44)

Well, what a change in the mood music. Selby fails to escape from a snooker on red and Ali slides home red to left centre. Big momentum shift with colours required for a big steal.

Selby 2-2 Carter (67-35)

But he misses the penultimate red with the rest down side cush. Frame not yet won. 32 points the lead heading for final red. Could be a red ball frame. Selby would like to get a colour safe here.

Selby 2-2 Carter (54-27)

Carter can only wonder if he'll get another chance in this frame. Plenty of work to be done by Selby as he hunts down the fifth frame. Excellent shot to spring open reds from side rail off black. Could provide the platform for the frame.

Selby 2-2 Carter (26-27)

Ali somehow screws white into the green pocket after Mark misses a thin red. Selby then slams home a long red. Suddenly Selby with chance to make some progress. Big error by Ali.

Selby 2-2 Carter (0-27)

Ali reaching 27 before we are thrust back into another period of stodgy stalemate. Back into the tactical warfare with white at top end of table and reds all heading for baulk. Not ridiculous to imagine another re-rack here. Until a blunder by Ali gives Mark chance of a red.

Selby 2-2 Carter (0-17)

This is certainly a tough old battle between two battle-hardened pros. Selby goes for a long red. Rattles the jaws, and Carter is presented with the opportunity to build a lead in the fifth frame.

Selby 2-2 Carter (7-1)

And there we have it. Both players giving each other the nod. And off they go again for frame five.

Selby 2-2 Carter (7-1)

Ali picks out a cross double on a red at top end of table. But can't land on black. Selby then almost flukes a red to green pocket. Doesn't leave it. Might be a re-rack coming here.

Selby 2-2 Carter (7-0)

Some tactical jousting here to determine who gets first chance at the balls. Imagine this match could really tighten up if it goes close later on.

Selby 2-2 Carter (7-0)

Excellent break-off shot by Selby in fifth frame of the day. Tucks Ali right up on baulk cushion. Decent response from deep by 'The Captain'.

Selby 1-2 Carter (85-1)

85 from Selby, his second 85 of the day with Carter producing 76 and 70 in between. Finely poised in Shanghai at 2-2.

Selby 1-2 Carter (75-1)

Break moves to 75 from Mark, and this frame will soon be a historical fact. Both men in nice touch among balls. 2-2 about right on what we have witnessed so far.

Selby 1-2 Carter (46-1)

Brilliant from Selby to keep this break going. Carter looking pensive in his chair. Won't expect to get another shot in this frame as the Selby lead moves to 45.

Selby 1-2 Carter (24-1)

Far from peak position in this break. Back up for green to remain at table before bringing white back down the table for a red. Superb positional shot.

Selby 1-2 Carter (0-1)

Selby tries to snick in a cutback red, but object ball sticks in the jaws of a top bag. Think he gets cover on green. What does Ali do here? Deep screw on a long red, but doesn't drop and leaves red to right centre. Selby then with chance to score.

Selby 1-2 Carter (0-1)

Carter is technically supreme, but also looks to be confident this week. New cloth on the table today too. Which is ideal to get the old scoring boots on.

Selby 1-1 Carter (0-72)

Ali bouncing around the table. Clearly in confident mood among the balls. A run of 70 is very nice indeed. Carter holding a 2-1 lead. One more frame to come before the mid-sesh.

Selby 1-1 Carter (0-58)

Controls a pot on a red expertly with the rest to come off two cushions and back out for the pink. All there for the taking now.

Selby 1-1 Carter (0-46)

Carter analysing the pack of reds. Into the cluster off black, and lands nicely on one to right-hand side. This looks very promising for the Essex man. Should really put frame to bed for a 2-1 lead early doors.

Selby 1-1 Carter (0-26)

Nice spot of luck to open up reds and somehow rebound back down for a loose red along top cushion. Hand of apology, but that won't stop his intentions here to crack on.

Selby 1-1 Carter (0-3)

Nothing wrong with Carter's long game in this match so far. Nice long red drifts into the rigging before he rolls up behind brown. Earns a tap on table from Selby, who hits red, but ends up sticking up a red to right centre. Chance then for Ali to add a few points here.

Selby 1-0 Carter (21-110)

A clearance of 76 from Carter is very well constructed indeed. We are all square at 1-1.

Selby 1-0 Carter (21-76)

Closing in then on this second frame of the day. Both men with opportunities, but it looks like Carter is going to seize the day to restore parity at 1-1. Battle is joined.

Selby 1-0 Carter (21-38)

Another corking long red by Ali to gain access to the baize. Now then. Will this be second time lucky for Ali as he looks to level us up at 1-1?

Selby 1-0 Carter (21-34)

And the answer is no as Mark then loses the cue ball at key moment. A reprieve for Carter. Which he probably didn't seeing coming.

Selby 1-0 Carter (5-34)

Great shot from Selby to knock in a long red off the missed black, and he is straight into those reds seconds later. Is he going to punish 'The Captain's' lapse in concentration?

Selby 1-0 Carter (4-34)

This is very nice from Carter in response until he loses the white at the key moment. Hampered by a red on black. That is careless. Misses black and sees white drop down the right middle bag. Disappointing end. A sigh from Ali too.

Selby 1-0 Carter (0-8)

Another long red is drained by Carter seconds later. Won't harm his confidence levels.

Selby 1-0 Carter (0-7)

Crisp long red is despatched by Ali before he drops in a nice pink to right centre. Nothing else doing. Safety to follow.

Selby 1-0 Carter (0-0)

Nine frames in the first session with a possible 10 to play in the second session. Very much like a first rounder at the Crucible. So the aim for Selby and Carter will be any sort of lead. Which you know will be three if you reach six. Or one if you make it to five. Don't expect any player to run away with this.

Selby 0-0 Carter (85-0)

No century as a red with the rest doesn't drop, but 85 gets the job done every day of the week. He leads 1-0.

Selby 0-0 Carter (59-0)

This is a majestic start by the four-time world champion. Chance to open with a century too.

Selby 0-0 Carter (42-0)

Chance to land the first blow in this semi-final joust. A possible 19 frames to come today. So plenty of work to be done by both men, but always nice to get hand on table and find some scoring form.

Selby 0-0 Carter (26-0)

Plenty of reds suddenly out in the open, but not yet in ideal position. A lovely controlled pot on red by Selby to use another red and flick white back out for the black. Could be a frame-winner.

Selby 0-0 Carter (15-0)

Superb long red by Selby followed by blue and the Leicester man then opens up a few reds too. No messing about. What can he make here in his first real visit of the day?

Selby 0-0 Carter (1-0)

And there we go. A re-rack in the opening frame of the day. Selby offers Carter the chance to get the balls back in place, and it is accepted by the two-time world finalist.

Selby 0-0 Carter (0-0)

Selby with a 13-7 lead over Carter in the career head-to-heads. A few early chances come and go before we settle into an early bout of tactical stuff. Cagey opening.

Selby 0-0 Carter (0-0)

First player to 10 frames will book their place in Sunday's big showpiece final. Selby with a 6-0 win over Shaun Murphy and a 6-4 victory against Judd Trump to reach this stage while Carter has completed two rousing comeback 6-5 wins over Mark Williams and Xiao Guodong, twice from 5-2 behind. Selby gets the match moving.
