The UEFA Champions League final will see some of Europe’s best players go head-to-head in a mouth-watering clash in Budapest when Premier League champions Arsenal meet French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

From the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele to, arguably, the best central defender in the world in Gabriel Magalhaes, both Premier League champions Arsenal and Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain have an abundance of talent at their disposal.

Before the final, fans had their say over who would make it into a combined XI between the two finalists.

Goalkeeper - David Raya

David Raya, Matvey Safonov and Lucas Chevalier were in the running to start in goal but there was one clear winner.

Raya has been one of the world’s best shot stoppers since arriving in North London from Brentford and he ran away with the vote.

The Spaniard secured 90.3% of votes, finishing well clear of Russia’s Safonov, who finished with 5.8%.

Chevalier, PSG's second-choice, could only muster 3.9%.

Right-back - Achraf Hakimi

There was also a big winner at right-back.

Achraf Hakimi stormed into first place with 74.6% after another sensational season in the French capital.

Spare a thought for Jurrien Timber, though, who managed 22.9% of the vote despite the stiff competition. Ben White also got some support, finishing with 2.5%.

Centre-back - Gabriel Magalhaes

Lucas Beraldo and Cristhian Mosquera secured 2.5% and 3.4% of the vote, respectively, for the first centre-back spot with Willian Pacho finishing in second on 18.5%.

However, there was no stopping Gabriel, who understandably won 75.5% of the vote share after helping Arsenal end their 22-year wait for a Premier League trophy.

Centre-back - William Saliba

The race to partner the Brazilian was the closest of the vote so far and it’s easy to see why.

Fans were asked to pick between Paris star Marquinhos and William Saliba.

The Arsenal player came out on top with 62.6% but his PSG counterpart wasn’t far behind him on 34.3%.

Illia Zabarnyi and Piero Hincapie earned 1.6% of the vote each.

Left-back - Nuno Mendes

There were more big names in the race to start at left-back.

Myles Lewis-Skelly looks set to be a star of the future and he worked his way up to 6.1% of the vote, while PSG’s Lucas Hernandez ended up on 6.7%

Riccardo Calafiori was rewarded for an impressive campaign with 19.6% but that was not enough to see him pip Nuno Mendes to top spot.

The Portugal international was another comfortable winner with 67.6%.

Centre-midfield - Declan Rice

The competition did not let up in the heart of midfield, with Declan Rice securing the first spot after winning 69.4% of the vote.

He had stiff competition from Joao Neves on 28.7% and Fabian Ruiz, who finished with 1.9%.

Centre-midfield - Vitinha

Rice is joined by Portugal’s Vitinha, who enjoyed a remarkable campaign domestically and on the European stage.

He secured 63.5% of the vote, finishing ahead of Arsenal’s Spanish star Martin Zubimendi on 17.3% in second place.

Mikel Merino and Warren Zaire-Emery also got their fair share of the votes, finishing with 9.6% each.

Centre-midfield - Desire Doue

Arsenal had plenty of options in the more advanced midfield role, with summer signing Eberechi Eze getting 20.1% and club captain Martin Odegaard taking 16.6%.

However, even the two of them combined could not have stopped Desire Doue.

The 20-year-old Frenchman registered 63% of the vote share, with his PSG team-mate Lee Kang-In finishing with 0.3%.

Forward - Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka may have endured a difficult season because of injury but he is still one of the best right-wingers in world football.

That is reflected in our vote, with the England international receiving a massive 80% of the vote, 79% more than his Three Lions team-mate Noni Madueke.

PSG’s Bradley Barcola also got plenty of love, receiving 19%.

Forward - Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

It was a similar story on the left side of the front three, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia taking 85%.

Leandro Trossard scored some crucial goals on Arsenal’s march to the Premier League title, but he only got 4.7%, while Brazil’s Gabriel Martinelli received 10.3%.

Striker - Ousmane Dembele

Dembele leads the line in our combined eleven after picking up 76.4% of the vote.

The France international held off the challenge of Swedish star Viktor Gyokeres on 15.8%, Kai Havertz on 5.8%, and Goncalo Ramos on 2.1%.

It’s no surprise considering his remarkable form since arriving in Paris.
