Amid interest from Saudi Pro League sides who could offer around £100 million for Mohamed Salah, Liverpool still want to keep the player.
The Mirror reports that the Premier League champions want to keep him after his return from the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
The paper explains: "There is a belief that clubs from the kingdom would need to fork out a transfer fee in the region of £100 million for the Egyptian international.
"Salah, who has 18 months remaining on his contract worth over £400k-a-week, might not be entirely against such a move. Over recent years, he has never dismissed the idea of moving to Saudi Arabia.
"However, Liverpool have no plans to let go of Salah, who is due to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt later this month. Liverpool is not looking to sell in January, despite Saudi clubs' hefty nine-figure valuation of the 33-year-old."
West Ham want Sargent
Norwich striker Josh Sargent is a potential January transfer target for West Ham as they look to strengthen.
In order to fund reinforcements for Nuno Espirito Santo, James Ward-Prowse and Niclas Fullkrug could both move on.
The Sun writes: "West Ham have added Norwich striker Josh Sargent to their list of January targets.
"The Hammers are keen to add a centre-forward next month after a desperate first half of the Premier League season.
"West Ham are prepared to back Nuno Espirito Santo in January, although may need sales to fund any additions.
"German striker Niclas Fullkrug wants a January exit from the London Stadium having fallen further out of favour under Nuno.
"James Ward-Prowse is also available having been cast aside by Nuno."
United target new midfielder
The Telegraph suggests that Manchester United could look at Bournemouth's Tyler Adams as a potential midfield signing.
However, the paper states that Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba are the current frontrunners.
The paper reports: "It is the position that will dominate the summer transfer window, with clubs poised to scramble for the best No. 6s.
"Manchester United have long struggled to find someone for the role and know its significance better than most.
"United are looking to add a No. 6 to their squad in the next transfer windows, with Elliot Anderson a breakout star of the Premier League for Nottingham Forest this season, Adam Wharton gaining admirers at Crystal Palace and an enquiry made for Brighton’s Carlos Baleba last summer."
Emery wants forward in January
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery wants his club to sign a winger in January, according to the Daily Mail.
While money is tight at Villa Park, if Harvey Elliott’s loan is cancelled, it may free up some space.
The paper states: "Throughout next month the Villa boss will be regularly asking Roberto Olabe, who replaced Monchi last autumn, whether he can bring him any new players.
"Still Emery would like an attacker who is capable of playing on either flank, given the slow start Evann Guessand and Jadon Sancho have made to their Villa careers.
"But that will not be easy, given Villa’s constant reckoning with Premier League and UEFA spending rules.
"If the unwanted Harvey Elliott returns to Liverpool midway through his loan spell, that would create space in the wage bill but is unlikely to move the dial too much. Last winter, Villa signed Donyell Malen and added Marcus Rashford, Axel Disasi and Marco Asensio on loan."
